Support Cyclone Idai victims
An estimated 2.6 million people have been affected by the UN is saying maybe the “southern hemisphere’s worst such disaster” across Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe.
The full scale of devastation is still to be seen, with a large number of communities, including Mozambique’s second largest city Beira, cut off from assistance due to infrastructural damage. Over 400,000 people have lost their homes.
Humana People to People national partners ADPP Mozambique, DAPP Zimbabwe and DAPP Malawi are in the area coordinating with emergency response mechanisms to provide basic assistance to those affected and prepare for longer-term recovery.
Funds raised through this appeal will be used to provide relief items such as emergency shelter and clothing, food assistance, water purification and health assistance. Updates will be provided as the situation develops.
Thousands of people are in urgent need. Humana People to People members are appealing for support – please donate now!
