10 MONTHS TRAINING PROGRAMME
Learn about the big issues of our time while preparing to work for 6 months with Community Development projects in Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique or India
At our learning centre, you will meet people from all over the world, exchanging ideas and experiences, creating a rich cultural life and diverse atmosphere. Here volunteers and teachers share the responsibility of running the centre together, using consensus-based decision making when implementing new ideas and developments for the future.
The International Volunteer programme is a fast-paced programme that takes a hands-on approach to learning, where volunteers use a mix of personal studies, group discussions and practical experiences. We call it Learning by Doing and we believe it gives volunteers the best foundation to work with community-driven development projects.
creating change together
After the 3 months training period, volunteers are ready to work 6 months together with Community-driven Development Projects in either Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique or India. These projects have been part of our partners Humana People to People efforts to create a significant impact on health, education and environmental issues in these countries for more than 25 years.
"Our main achievement working in the project was the construction of preschools in the area around DAPP college. With fundraising and help from the community, we managed to build 6 structures"
"This programme gave me an amazing experience. I had the opportunity to learn more about other cultures, how to work in a team and I learned to handle complicated situations and how to deal with them dynamically."
"I decided to continue working on what I learned from all of the experiences. It was a life-changing experience where I developed myself and discovered what I want to do in the future."
