Dear visitor,

In these precarious times, we stay committed to extending our solidarity and support to marginalised communities who, once again, will bear the brunt of another worldwide crisis.

Right now, we are reassessing how we can do just that. We aim to start new teams in the spring of 2021. The world will need all good forces who are willing and able to do whatever is needed. Let’s unite and get to work as soon as possible.

Stay safe and best wishes!

What is the Take 10 Volunteer programme?

The Take 10 Volunteer programme is an action-based, fast-paced travel, study and project programme for people who would like to be international volunteers in a responsible manner.

Before going to the projects, volunteers are trained for three months at learning centres in Europe. After completing their training, volunteers participate actively and constructively in creating positive change in developing communities in Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, Guinea Bissau or India, for six months.

A one month reflection and evaluation period concludes the programme.

I used to be a manager and had “everything” but I was not happy at all. Missing a purpose in my life and not being proud of what I was doing, I needed something different, something new – a new life adventure.

I was living an average life in Hungary that was not so fulfilling. Lack of self-improvement and curiosity led me to look for something extraordinary. I found OWI Norway and the whole concept was just perfect for me.

I always wanted to do something good in the world, to make changes. It was my dream to go and make development work in Africa, plus travelling to another country for the training which was was interesting.

We don’t know where to. We just know that our solidarity and humanity will be needed. If you are interested in contributing with your time and skills, please let us know.

In the meantime, you can check out these vidoes where we present the learning centres where the training takes place. 🙂
